We started Easter weekend with an Easter egg hunt at Nick's parents house. There is a huge egg hunt there every year and the girls love going to it. Unfortunately Ellie started to not feel good on our way. She had bumped her head pretty hard before we left and I think she may have had a concussion. She collected a few eggs, but wasn't really into it. Alexis however filled her basket as full as possible.
Filling 3 basket full of girly things just made my girly little heart so happy.
The basket were a huge hit. Even Lila enjoyed emptying hers out. My favorite quote from the morning was, "I never knew that I have always wanted this."
The best picture I got of the girls before church. They looked so pretty in their Easter dresses. Do you like Lexie's red Gatorade mustache? At church the Primary kids got to sing. My girls love singing. This was the first time Alexis has gotten to sing during sacrament meeting, and she did not disappoint! She sang her little heart out, at one point she was singing so loud that Ellie punched her in the back. It was pretty funny. The lady behind me was chuckling at them and said, boy Alexis is really feeling it up there. I have to say I was a proud Mama watching them sing.
After church we headed to my parents house for dinner and another egg hunt. I had to add this picture of Lila and my Dad. She just loves her Poppy and was especially happy because he took her outside.
My not so successful attempt at a picture of all the grand kids. I think it might be impossible to get a photo where all 6 are smiling and looking at the camera.
It was a wonderful Easter weekend and especially loved that this year my girls really knew and understood why we were celebrating Easter.
