Oh Ellie

The other day Ellie was playing outside and kept telling me that she didn't like me. She was saying it playfully and I knew she didn't mean it. But we have really been working on her talking nicely to me, so I told her if she said it again she would have a time out. Of course she looked right at me and said, "I don't like you" So I put her in time out. When her time was up I told her to come talk to me. She knows she has to apologize for what she did after a time out. She looks at me and says, "I'm sorry that I don't like you." Oh Ellie what am I going to do with you.

Diamonds

Ellie has developed a love for diamonds. Everytime we walk past a jewelry counter she yells, rather loudly, "Look Mommy, diamonds!" (Which always gets a good laugh out of the women behind the counter) A hot topic of conversation at Nicks parents house when we are all there for dinner is a debate over real diamonds versus moissanite. Nicks brother always says he won't buy his future wife a real diamond. Since Ellie has a love for diamonds I decided to teach her a little phrase to share with her Uncle. Now when you ask Ellie what a diamond is she responds, "Diamonds are a girls best friend." It is pretty dang cute! Unfortunately I think this love of diamonds isn't going away. I think she is going to have expensive taste.

Suckers

Ellie wanted a sucker, of course Lexie needed on too. So cute!
