Idaho Day 5

During the day I took the older kids to the splash park in Rexburg and met up with my old roommate Chalee and her 2 little cuties. I'm a little upset that I didn't even think to get a picture of the 2 of us. After the splash park I took them to ride the carousel and then out for icecream. The kids thought it was the best day ever because they were given two treats. I'm just glad I was able to all 4 of them and they had fun. No fighting, no arguing, everyone got along and listened well. It was a great day!

Lila's 1st birthday!

Day 5 we spent celebrating Lila's 1st birthday. We never get to celebrate birthdays with our Idaho cousins so it was pretty fun to be able to be together for Lilas big day. She was thrilled when she opened her presents and loved what she got. She thought it was great having everyone sing to her and was more than a little excited when we handed her her own cupcake. It was a fantastic day, although I still can't believe she is one. We love you more than cupcakes Lila Jean and are so happy you are part of our family! Happy 1st birthday to my baby girl!

Idaho Day 4

Day 4 was filled with lots of time outside. Technically the girls were not supposed to be swimming because of their new earrings. But really it was 100 degrees outside, I wasn't going to stop them. They had a blast dumping water down their swimsuits and throwing it in the air to make it rain. How could a say no to these girls when they were having so much fun?

This little cutie pie perfected he walking skills while we were gone. She loved being able to roam the house and get into everything.

Monday night we took the kids fishing. It was HOT outside and I wasn't sure they would enjoy it. To my surprise Alexis really liked fishing. She sat perched on her rock and slowly reeled in her line. No one caught anything and there were a lot of tears over that when it was time to leave.

No surprise that Ellie grew tired of fishing and started wandering around. She decided that it would be fun to spend her time jumping across the stream. I am actually quite shocked that she didn't end up falling in.

Idaho Day 3

Day 3 started out by all of us attending church. It kinda felt like a 3 ring circus, but the kids had a great time being together at church. After dinner we took the kids to the Green Belt in Idaho Fall to feed the ducks. It's right across the river from the Idaho Falls temple. It was so pretty there. The kids had a blast feeding the ducks, and giving the parents heart palpitations. I was sure someone was going to fall in. We love getting to spend time with our cousins. Even though we hardly ever see them, usually only once a year, it's like no time has past when they get together. They are just the best little friends and it makes me so happy that they all love each other so much.

Lila and Eli were stuck in the strollers the whole time. They didn't seem to mind though. Especially since there were Geese right in front of them. Lila kept trying to bend down and touch them,
The best we could get of all the kids in their Sunday best. That's a good looking bunch of kids!

Idaho day 1-2

Day 1
We left the house 4:45, bright and early. The kids did not go back to sleep, they were far to excited. We spent the whole day driving and made it to Idaho at 8:30. The girls are amazing travelers and do great in the car. They spent the whole day watching movies. They watched Barbie Mermaid Tale at least 3 times. When we were at a rest stop they were "surfing" on the picnic table.

Day 2
The girls got their ears pierced! They were so excited to get to do it together. We had a guy who works at a tattoo shop come to Robin and Stephenie's house to do it. He was great! Alexis was insistent that she was going to go first. When he was taking her earrings out of the box one of the pearls fell off the post. She was devastated that she wasn't going to be able to get her ears pierced. Luckily Stephs sister saved the day by offering her real diamonds for Alexis to use. She did pretty good with getting them pierced, she of course cried and carried on for a while, which was expected from her. Come to find out later that most her crying was just because she wanted her "pearlies". Ellie was second and took it like a champ. Not a tear was shed. She just simply said Owie. Last to go was our niece, she like Alexis cried. After a few minutes all 3 were off playing and glad they got it done.
