Beach Days

August re-cap
We got the family together to spend a day at the beach. The weather had been beautiful and HOT all week long. I don't even think it broke 70 this day. Oh well the kids didn't seem to mind that it was a little chilly. They dug in the sand, built castles, tossed around a football and flew kites.

While Nick was out of town for the weekend and my Dad was working my Mom and I took the girls to Dash Point. I'm not really an outdoorsy type of girl, so we hadn't been yet for the Summer. The thought of having to deal with Lila around sand and a large body of water didn't sound to appealing to me. Eliana and Alexis love the beach and were so excited to go and fly their kites again. We were there for a few hours and I don't think Ellie did much other than fly her kite. I put Lila down in the sand and she was off exploring. I think she walked around the beach for about 45 mins. Every once and a while she would fall down, typically in the stream. She picked up some clam shells and tried to eat them, dug with a shovel a bit and ate plenty of handfuls of sand. Alexis happily sat out in the sand with several buckets and shovels and dug. This girl loves to sit and dig. Overall it was a wonderful outing.

Lila's ONE

Since we were gone in Idaho on Lila's birthday we got to celebrate twice. We celebrated on her birthday and then 2 weeks later we had a big party. I just love throwing parties for my girls, much to Nicks dismay. I love celebrating them. I'm not going to lie, it was a hard pill to swallow that my baby was actually one. I had been planning the theme for her party for months. It came together great and I think she loved it.

Day 8

Day 8 aka my 2 favorite day (obviously Lila's first birthday has to be my favorite). We went with all the kids, Aunty Stephie, Papa, and JuJu to Yellowstone Bear World. It was seriously the coolest place. You drive through and get to see the animals up close. Driving through the bear exhibit was awesome. We were all so excited in our car to see real life bears outside of our windows. We loved it so much we came home with 325 pictures just from the few hours we were there. I wish we could have driven through a few more times. We will definently be going back next time we are in Rigby.

I really wanted to get a picture of all the kiddos together. That proved to be rather difficult, so this is the best we got.

Proof that I was indeed on this vacation.
Baby Deer, they were so cute and Lila LOVED them.

Lila however did not like petting the Deer.

Papa isn't Lila's favorite person, she actually would cry anytime he was near her. He won her over with a train ride.

Nick couldn't be left out of the fun. He hopped on the kiddie rides too. He actually was going to ride with Bennett (poor boy doesn't have any boy cousins to play with) but they won't let him.

Papa and JuJu and all their grandkids.

Idaho day 6-7

Riding the 4 wheeler with Uncle Robin (who the girls LOVE) and petting horses. A perfect day in the eyes of a 4 and 6 year old.

Day 7
