This year for the 4th we had no plans. So we decided to put the girls down for a late nap and then head out to a local park for a firework show. We woke the girls up at 5:30 and prayed that it didn't start raining. Luckily the rain didn't come and we were able to have a fun night. Before we left we took the girls outside to do some pop it's. Ellie loves doing pop it's and could finally throw them hard enough this year for them to actually pop. Lexie just threw them on the ground and then stepped on them. We walked around the booths at the park, the girls got free Frisbee"s, played on the toys, and eventually staked out a place to watch the fireworks from. We had lots of time before the fireworks started so the girls ran around and played. Ellie of course made a new friend, she is so social. She even got Nick to play "krispy" with her. (Frisbee) Ellie loved the fireworks, Lexie did not. She spent most of time in someones arms with her blanket over her head. I'm glad we decided to head out on our own. We had a fabulous time and the city firework show did not disappoint us.
